Cod fritters

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of cod
  • 200 g potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 4 eggs
  • nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation:

  1. Put the cod in the water for 1 day by changing the water from time to time to clear the cod.
  2. Drain cod, clean cod, remove skin and bones.
  3. Cook the potatoes in water with the salt.
  4. Then puree.
  5. Mix the cod and mashed potatoes, add the parsley, onion, pepper and nutmeg.
  6. Add the eggs at the end in the mixture obtained previously.
  7. Finally, shape the cod fritters with 2 tablespoons.
  8. Fry in oil and serve hot.

Pão de Ló

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of sugar
  • 150 g of flour
  • 30 g of butter
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation:

  1. Separate the whites from the yolks.
  2. In the yellow container, add a pinch of salt and sugar. Beat everything until a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Beat the egg whites, add them to the yolks, mix well (without breaking the egg whites), at the same time add the flour and mix gently.
  4. Butter the mold (with a hole in the middle, if you do not have this type of mold, take a simple mold).
  5. Pour the mixture into the mold and put in the oven at 150 ° C (thermostat 5) for 55 min.
  6. Cooking depends on your oven, to know if it is well cooked, to plant a knife in the middle of the cake (the blade must leave dry).
  7. If it tends to over-brown on the top, recover it with aluminum foil.
